Over the next two weeks, we will be revamping the format for Email Express. We will continue to work to include all-important information as well as student recognitions. In addition, I am adding my Twitter account as a source of real time information. Follow me on Twitter: @TedRedBuilding
In addition to important information, I will use Twitter to share information such as:
Emergency information such as weather warnings and security concerns
School closings due to inclement weather
All last minute changes to events/meetings including times, locations and cancellations

Learning @ Lovejoy, our annual professional development conference for educators is well underway at Lovejoy High School. It's great to have our staff members on campus engaged in the highest quality of professional learning which will directly benefit the students of Lovejoy and beyond.

Our K - 12 tuition-based enrollment program is a great opportunity for increased district revenue and a great opportunity for families who live outside of our district boundaries, but want their children to experience a Lovejoy education. Lovejoy Pre-K Now Enrolling
Excellence Begins Early
Lovejoy ISD is accepting applications for tuition-based Pre-Kindergarten. This comprehensive program is staffed by certified teachers and is housed on the Puster Elementary School campus. Enrichment offerings include music, fitness, art, library, science, technology, engineering, and math. We are proud to provide a Lovejoy education for community members seeking a rich learning experience, which will provide a firm foundation for kindergarten and beyond.

Girls Cross Country Completes
Camp 3 Mountain Challenge
Each year, members of the Lovejoy Cross Country and Track Team travel to Taos, New Mexico for training. Part of this training includes the Mountain Challenge. The Mountain Challenge is a very difficult running climb of 3.5 miles and close to 1000' elevation increase over an average 8% grade.
The Mountain Challenge for the third girls' camp yielded the following results:

Lauren Sturm and Jena Fisher - Class of 2014
Lauren Sturm and Jena Fisher attend Baylor University where they are members of the Baylor Acrobatics and Tumbling Team. The team recently defended the NCATA title for the third straight year earning a fourth title.
Lauren was a cheerleader and track and field athlete during her Lovejoy years and has been named an All-American Collegiate athlete for Baylor. Jena was a competitive gymnast during her high school years.
Congratulations to Lauren and Jena. We are #lovejoyproud.
