A Message from the
I hope this finds each of you still enjoying your summer break.
Last week we completed the first week of our 10th Annual Learning@Lovejoy Professional Learning Conference. One special session allowed our students to begin to experience the new STEM wing at Lovejoy High School. Last Thursday afternoon, some students in grades 5-12 were able to participate in a session called MakerBot. This session was part of a special partnership we have with Office Depot. Office Depot has been a generous supporter of Learning@Lovejoy. As part of the Office Depot Innovation Zone, the students worked on makerspace projects and shared their thinking about their learning with the teachers. We heard from each of the students who shared that these challenging projects involving science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) were an excellent opportunity for creativity and collab
I hope each of you enjoys the rest of your summer break. We hope you continue to love where you learn. If you have feedback to help us improve, please do not hesitate to contact me on my cell at 214.385.1967.
