St. Maarten News Email Newsletter

Dear Reader

The owner of Today Management N.V. has decided to stop with the Today.sx online news website and to discontinue the email newsletter service. As you know, the Today newspaper office building and printery were devastated during the passing of hurricane Irma, thereby forcing the company to permanently close its doors. Subsequently, the staff was offered and accepted severance pay for termination of their employment.

The general manager and the managing editor were also offered severance pay and this was also recently accepted from the owner of the company. In light of this, the general manager and the managing editor have decided to continue the email newsletter service as independent publishers and writers. We will be doing so under the St. Maarten News brand name with the www.stmaartennews.com as the primary website and https://www.facebook.com/StMaartenNewsOnline as the Facebook page.

The new website is presently under construction and in the meantime, you can read the news and articles on our Facebook page. You can also view a selection of the news reports and articles below in this email newsletter. The headlines are as follows:
