The Emerson's Crawford Theater
... has a new projector!
We're excited to to announce the installation of our new projector! The Barco D-Cinema Projector is the first projector in downtown Bozeman to have ADA additions installed! It features a USL IR system, which grants us the ability to provide a Closed Captioning system for the Hearing Impaired, as well as Visual Narrative devises for the Visually Impaired. This technology enables us to better serve our entire community.
The projector is a perfect complement to the Theater's existing Dolby surround sound, large seating capacity, comfortable chairs, and an excellent downtown location.
Over 33 different organizations bring more than 50 films to the Emerson annually. These organizations include the Bozeman Documentary Series/Devolution Films, Teton Gravity Research, World Board Ski Films, Patagonia, Element Film Festival, Friends of Hyalite, and the Sierra Club, just to name a few.

Garden & Home Tour
July 29-30, 2016
Thank you Bozeman, for another successful Garden and Home Tour! We couldn't pull these tours off without the support of the Bozeman community, the amazing gardeners who opened their gardens and homes to the public to tour, and our fantastic sponsors!
The 19th Annual Garden & Home Tour featured eight gardens, ranging from backyard gardens to commercial farms to transformed landscapes. Musicians and artists performed in select gardens, and three of the gardens hosted mini-lectures from gardening professionals. After such a great event, we cant wait until next year!

Kelley J. Sullivan |
|
|
Kelley J. Sullivan has been an Emerson tenant since 2015, with a painting studio located on the second floor of the West Wing. We're thrilled to have her presence in the building, providing a powerful energy that stems from her art and her creative process. Her artwork will be featured on the new 2016-2017 Tenant Directory. Kelley is a mixed media painter and a native of Bozeman, Montana, who carries a strong belief that art should evoke a powerful response, with feelings deeply personal to each viewer. Kelley revels in the organic movement of paint. Working with few preconceptions, she lets the medium decide much of its own path. With nature as the heart of her inspiration, she creates an emotional landscape by building layer upon layer. Techniques include dipping, soaking, and drenching the canvas in water after each application of paint until images emerge. |

INSIDE THE EMERSON |
|
|
Emerson History The Emerson is a thriving arts and community center located a block from historic downtown Bozeman. The building was originally an elementary school built in 1918, attended by thousands of Bozeman youth before its closure in 1991. |
Support the Emerson At the Emerson, we are grateful for the generous community support that allows us to serve as a vital arts hub in Bozeman. Over 250,000 people have come to the Emerson each year to attend performances, take classes, and participate in community events. |
Volunteer with the Emerson As a community arts hub, the Emerson relies on the time, energy and enthusiasm donated by community volunteers and interns. You can get involved by becoming a docent, by helping with events, children's classes or in our office. |
