This weekend we continue our Summer Shabbat Series. On Saturday, July 15, we welcome Elizabeth Pressman as our service leader, and Gary and Eileen Feldman, who will be speaking about the Jews of Cuba. To read sermons from past weeks, click HERE.

Shabbat services start at 9:30 AM. Minhah at 7:15 PM, followed by a farewell Seudah Shlisheet for Michael and Maureen Kaplan, and Ma'ariv/Havdalah at 8:45 PM. Shabbat ends at 9:01 PM.

Events for Families with Young Children
Temple Isaiah Hosts Muslim Teach-In:  On July 25 from 7-9:00 PM, Temple Isaiah will host Out of Many, One: Teach-In and Solidarity with the Boston Muslim Community Join together with our Muslim neighbors from the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center and other Greater Boston Interfaith Organization leaders for an evening of learning, relationship-building and solidarity. This is an opportunity to learn more about the Muslim faith and to hear stories from individuals of their experiences being Muslim in Boston. We’ll also learn about specific threats facing the Muslim community in these troubling times and about what we can do to be of support. All learners are welcome. RSVP at isbcc.org/out-of-many-one.

Learn Hebrew this Summer - Either on-line or on-campus!   If you’ve always wanted to learn Hebrew but haven’t been able to find a class that fits your busy schedule, then take a course this summer at Hebrew College. On-campus or online, you’ll find experienced teachers who are native Hebrew speakers, who will be devoted to you and your fellow classmates, and who will help you to steadily advance your skills.  For more information, contact Ulpan Coordinator Tzilla Barone at 617-559-8812.

Jewish Singles Mingle Summer Sangria Bash Jewish Singles Mingle invites singles, ages 45–65, to a "Summer & Sangria Outdoor Cocktail Party" on Sunday, July 16, 6:00-9:00 PM. Join us in Newton as we celebrate one year of mixing and mingling. Don't miss this great evening of music, apps, and drinks. Tickets are $36 and reservations are required by July 10th.

A Journey of Jewish Music: From Bagdad to Boston : Sign up now for this event on Monday, July 24, reception at 6:30 PM, concert at 7:00 PM. Join Cantor and performer George Mordecai, along with his star-studded ensemble including Mitch Gordon, Hankus Netsky and Zafer Tawil, as he takes the audience on a journey of Jewish music from his family's roots in India and Iraq, through Australia and into North America. Cost: $10.
