It's Christmas Mystery Time! 
Do you hear the distant ringing of jingle bells? That sweet music reminds us that the time is coming close for you all to confirm your seat for the Christmas Mystery! Becky and Susan are so excited they want to skip Fall and go right to Christmas! This year is our 16th Christmas Mystery class so mark your calendars.

All three days begin sharply at 9:00 a.m.
Becky and Susan have been cutting the fabric and preparing the Mystery Kits. We have a "rough estimate" of sign-ups
but it is now time to know exactly how many kits we will need
.
This year we are giving you a choice of fabric styles in your kit. They are Christmas Vintage or Christmas Retro/Modern. They are both soft in their coloring and
NO. They. Are. Not. FLANNEL. ;-)
I am asking everyone to please confirm their day and kit choice by coming in to pay and/or mailing us a check. We can not take credit card payments over the phone, but will happily take your credit card payment in person.
The cost breakdown for the Mystery Class is as follows:

For All:
- Sewing machines and foot pedal all in good working order with bobbins wound and ready to sew.
- Small cutting board with a small ruler and rotary cutter.
- Marking pen such as the Frixion Pen.
- Small scissors and pins.
- Some of you may have small ironing boards and travel irons to share with your group, knowing that we always have three ironing stations set up for your convenience.
And last but not least,
FOOD!!!
We ask that everyone bring finger foods to share.
YUM!
Again this year John and Marilyn will provide salad and rolls for lunch from Mano's.

Club Kaizen with Becky

A Japanese principle of continuous improvement.
This will be a time to Sew & Share, with Becky as the
facilitator. We will learn from each other.
We have fabrics, books and Cosmo Threads available that are designed and/or authored by Yoko Saito.
Club Kaizen will have a cost of $5 per month. Our meeting dates are as listed. Note: It is NOT the same Saturday of each month, due to vacations, holidays, etc.

Beginning Applique with Becky Madasz

Learn from one of the best! Becky will teach you her method of hand applique. Kit's are available for this class. Let Becky know your two favorite colors and the kit will be waiting for you. You will learn how to mark the pieces for cutting, the proper needles and threads to use, as well as first hand needle turn instructions... This class will meet the second Wednesday of each month and will go from 10:00 to 1:00. It's an ongoing class and you can hop in at any time.
Cost of class is $12.00 per session
plus the cost of the kit.

Paper Dolls with Susan Freebery

The Paper Dolls
Love that name!
We are calling all you quilters who like to paper piece!
Susan's method for paper piecing is simple, logical and it WORKS! Continuing on from her very popular Beginning Paper Piecing Class, we are starting a club to explore this technique further. Each month we will work on a different skill, or project, building on what we have already learned. Very soon we will be working on some pretty ambitious patterns! Start looking through all those patterns you have passed by because you thought you couldn't do it...you should pick them up again and hear us tell you that, "YES you CAN!"
Again, this is a club with a minimal fee - $5 each class to cover the cost of club materials, handouts, etc.
A Note about Paper Dolls: The intention for this club is that it take the form of a stitch-along rather than a classic class. Susan will help us get started each session, but then we will be stitching along together and helping each other.
The Paper Dolls will be meeting the 3rd Saturday of each month.

It has become evident that we need to add a monthly Sit-N-Sew so the Paper Doll Club can have a work day. This will take the form of a Sit-n-Sew session and the fee will be $5. Get in here and get some of your Paper Doll Projects done!!

Our Row by Row 2017
We are Hibernating until November 1st
and then you can purchase our 2017 Row by Row again.
Country Quilts and Bears has been a fixture in the Tampa Bay quilting world for more than 30 years. John and Marilyn Humphries have been the proprietors for 22 of those amazing years. Marilyn bought her dream car, a bright red VW Beetle, in 2008. That was her inspiration for this year's Row by Row, On The Go design. Now, her little red bug is featured in this year's design as it heads down Drew Street, bound for Country Quilts and Bears in sunny Clearwater, Florida!
Our 2017 kit is $12.00 and our license plate is $5.00

Row by Row 2016
This was our 2016 Country Quilts and Bears Row by Row pattern. The theme for 2016 was Home Sweet Home. Living on a house boat at Clearwater Beach, FL with it's powdery fine sand, clear ocean water and pristine beaches is a perfect "Home Sweet Home". Mother Nature has blessed us with the perfect inspiration for this year's design.
Our row kit contains 19 pieces of fabric and we are selling it for $12.00.
