Final Exams
Your student has final exams this week. If you need to check in, here's the exam schedule.

Wednesday-Thursday, May 24-25: Leave at 5 p.m.

Friday, May 26: Leave at 5:45 p.m.

Saturday, May 27: Pick up one hour later than normal in the morning; depart at
1:30 p.m.

Baccalaureate and Commencement
All students are required to be at the Baccalaureate on Friday, May 26, from 4-5:30 p.m.; and at Commencement on May 27, 10 a.m. Both are formal attire events.

Sell Your Books Back
Now is the time to sell your child's textbooks back, either to MBS Direct (the company from which you most likely purchased your book) or another company/individual. If you opt to use MBS, your child needs to first get a quote from
MBS Direct by visiting the website and filling out the form. Here are instructions for getting the quote at MBS Direct. Then, your child should bring the printed quote and books to Director of Studies Deb Prantl in the Administration Building, May 26, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. If you have problems with the online form, she can walk your child through the process.

You are advised to wait until summer is over before purchasing new books as sometimes over the summer, book lists change. If you purchase your books now, there is a small risk involved as books might move to a new edition or a book might be dropped. For example, the book currently being used for Algebra 2, Honors Algebra 2, and FST will NOT be used next year.

Students can also sell their books to other students, but some textbooks are changing for next year and some teachers require new books.

Forms
Adviser change forms and roommate/house selection forms were due last week. If you or your child have any questions about this process, please contact Dave Racine (
[email protected] ). Students will learn about new adviser and house placements sometime in August.

Packing Up For Boarding Students
Residence halls close at 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 27. Before boarding students depart for the summer, they have been asked to ensure their room is in move-in condition, that they have returned their key to their houseparent, and items have been placed into storage. While FVS provides summer storage for returning students, please be aware that the School is not responsible for any lost or damaged items. PakMail, a local shipping company, will also be on the Frautschi Campus Center patio from 1-4 p.m., on Friday afternoon, May 26, and Saturday, May 27, if you wish to ship any items homes. A truck from Goodwill is on campus this week if students would like to donate items.
Here is a basic outline of your child's packing schedule. Also, please remember to have your child check out with his/her houseparent before leaving for the summer.
