For the new year I have chosen the word
Energy to be my inspiration and guide. I imagine waves in the ocean: constant and changing. Sometimes churning as when I am writing my play. Sometimes surfing the waves with my coaching clients. Sometimes powerful and sometimes calm.
What image, word or phrase do you choose for 2016? What will inspire and motivate you? What actions and behaviors will you take to embody fully the image you have selected?
To go along with my theme of energy, I have added a couple of activities to my schedule. This month I start a six month teleclass,
Conversational Intelligence for Coaches, with Judith E. Glaser. I am looking forward to deeply investigating this topic and incorporating the learning into my life and work.
I have noticed that I have let my distaste for the heat and humidity of southwest Louisiana to turn me into a homebody. So, I am going to step out of my comfort zone by participating in the Acadiana Master Naturalists program. In 10 workshops from January to June I will learn about the natural environment and ecology of the area. I'll get down on my hands and knees to look at insects and plants, and I am sure I'll be generating and exerting energy.
Would you like a partner with whom to think about your life in 2016 and how you might "kick things up a notch?" Give me a call today to schedule a complimentary coaching consultation.

My friend Patricia recommended to me the documentary film,
Keep on Keepin' On, and I in turn recommend it to you. The film is about jazz musician Clark Terry's life and his inspirational mentorship of a blind piano student, Justin Kauflin.
