ConsolidationConsolidation of Governmental Entities Survey:
Tell Us About Your League Activities
The LWVIL Issues Committee formed a sub-committee to explore the use of the LWVIL position on the consolidation of governmental entities in Illinois. The sub-committee members would like to know what is happening or has happened in your local area regarding consolidation  of governmental entities or elected offices and how has your local League been involved in that process.

For example, Cook County LWV did a study and then advocated for the consolidation of the County Comptroller within the County Clerks' office. We know many local Leagues have studied and taken positions about consolidation over the years and seek that information from every local League to provide a clearinghouse of information and support future work throughout our state.

We have developed a survey and ask that it be filled out by February 9, 2017. Here is a link to the survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/THFK8FZ  Thank you for taking time to provide this information and if you have questions or would like to contribute to the work of the sub-committee, please contact Hilary Dank, Co-Chair of LWVIL Issues Committee, at  [email protected]
It's Time to Schedule Those Legislative InterviewsInterviews
Once every year, the LWVIL Issues Committee prepares legislative interview questions on a number of topics on which the League is working. 2017 is no exception.

You are encouraged to work with your local league leadership to work with other leagues, as appropriate, to meet with your State Senator and/or State Representative and share the results of your conversation, including answers to the questions with LWVIL.org

This E-News contains information, materials, and helpful hints to prepare for legislative interviews. Please note we would like your local leagues feedback form no later than Monday, April 3, 2017.
