ENGINEERING A HISTORICAL MONUMENT
Seven years in the making, Sullaway Engineering is honored to have structurally-engineered the recently installed Venice Japanese American Memorial Monument ( VJAMM). This 9'-6" tall, 12,500 lb granite obelisk, situated on the northwest corner of Venice and Lincoln Boulevards in Venice, CA, marks where some 1,000 Japanese-Americans were forcibly removed and transported by bus to the Manzanar War Relocation Authority Camp and were incarcerated for the duration of World War II.

The VJAMM stands to forever remind generations of past constitutional injustices and to remain vigilant that such an injustice never happens again.
