Client Spotlight: A Wider Circle

A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to ending poverty and ensuring that every child and adult has the chance to succeed and the opportunity to live well. Their efforts focus on the provision of basic need items, education and long-term support and they’ve served more than 200,000 children and adults to date.

In May 2015, A Wider Circle chose Chain Bridge Bank to help finance their headquarters building in Silver Spring, Maryland. The Bank provided the client flexible financing terms that aligned with A Wider Circle's fundraising schedule.

According to  Founder & Executive Director Dr. Mark Bergel , "From the moment the deal was finalized, everything the leadership at Chain Bridge Bank promised they would do to build a relationship with our organization has come true. The Bank’s enthusiasm for our mission and work made our banking relationship special as they’ve generously supported our events as a proactive partner. Regular communication from the Bank’s leadership team has meant a lot to us and when a bank exceeds your expectations, that is unique. Chain Bridge has a strong understanding of the nonprofit industry and their outstanding service has made it possible for A Wider Circle to grow. I’m confident that whatever requirements we face, the Bank wants us to succeed in a big way and I’m forever grateful.”

A Wider Circle seeks to collaborate with other service providers and partners across all sectors of society (e.g., corporate, government, philanthropic) to build social capital and bridges for those that have only known poverty but have tremendous potential to advance real and lasting change.

How can your business get involved?
