May 8, 2015 - Friday News

It is with sadness that I need to officially let you all know that I will be resigning from the Fitzgerald-Ben Hill County Chamber of Commerce effective May 22, though I will be on hand to help with activities such as the Fitzgerald Pig Picking.  A date has not been set to hire a new director.

Since the Chamber shares an office with the Fitzgerald and Ben Hill Co. Development Authority, board members would like to get the FBHDA position filled first.

Then the Chamber position will be filled. The Chamber board will be looking for an interim director. Also, they will be accepting resumes. You can e-mail them to derindalewis@mchsi.com or by post office to P.O. Box 218.

I don't have any plans lined up for another job just yet, but I will be looking seriously after a short break. I have been so grateful for the opportunity of serving as the Chamber director. It gave me the privilege of developing firm relationships with so many wonderful people in this community.

I would like to thank our Chamber members for the tremendous support shown me during my time as Executive Director.
