Social Media Tips & Tricks

Social media sites are a company's key asset to making sure that their consumers are aware of the company's products and services. There has been a drastic increase in adult participation in social networking sites. So understanding social media and which social media outlet will best benefit your company is important.

Some popular social media sites:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, and Snapchat

The "Social Media Toolkit" for success:

  • Don't indulge in "vanity metrics"
  • Follow your followers
  • Tie it to your CRM system
  • Look for long-term impact

How to Become a Leader, Not a Follower

Dreaming big and acting big are two ways that can set you apart from  ordinary managers. Being charismatic and thinking outside the box will gain the respect of your team so that you can lead them to success.

Tips for being a more compelling leader:

  • Establish clear territories and borders for leaders
  • Set objectives bigger than their own performance
  •  Due dates faster than what is reasonable
  • Stair-stepping their development--Increase capabilities through challenges

"We now understand that there is a method to what entrepreneurs do and it is an extraordinarily powerful way to transform the world. Entrepreneurship is about putting human nature to work to build a better world. This method will be taught in schools, as science is. It is not about teaching future entrepreneurs-it's about building an entrepreneurial society. And solving problems using the principles of entrepreneurship."
