 General Synod sets Limits to Fossil Fuel Investments
Climate change was repeatedly referred to as the greatest ethical issue of our age during a debate around how long the C of E should continue its strategy of engagement to push oil and gas companies to transition to low carbon energy production. More.

Animals Blessed St John's, Ben Rhydding
Nine dogs, four guinea pigs and a hamster, as well as a host of humans, attended a special service of blessing at St John's, where prayers were offered for wild and domestic creatures. More.

The Pope Demands Renewables from Oil and Gas Bosses
The Pope issued the call to a meeting  for executives of the largest global energy companies, at the Vatican. He said "it is a duty that we owe towards millions of our brothers and sisters around the world, poorer countries and generations yet to come". Read more.

Young will Pick up Climate Change Bill, Advisers Warn
The government must act faster to cut carbon dioxide emissions from road traffic, homes and farming, a recent report from the Committee on Climate Change says. More
UK Citizens Bring Legal Challenge on Climate Targets
Climate legal group Plan B and the 11 plaintiffs aged 9 to 79, including Rabbi Jeffrey Newman, are bringing a case to try to compel the government to increase the ambition of the UK's 2050 carbon target to net zero emissions. More
