Equipping Leaders to Stay Ahead of Change

To adapt to the rapidly changing marketplace, many organizations undergo large-scale changes and cultural transformations to achieve a competitive advantage. Senior executives make strategic moves such as announcing an acquisition, restructuring the organization, and introducing enterprise-wide efforts, all in the hopes of enhancing and maximizing profitability. Whatever the strategic play being made, the organization relies on its leadership and first line leaders to execute these changes flawlessly and with minimal disruption.
Unfortunately, research has proven that 70% of these types of large-scale change initiatives fall short of the intended results. A major contributing factor is that most companies do not equip their team leaders to guide others through change. Team leaders are either provided very little support and guidance, or they are provided with an overwhelming amount of change management tools and templates without clear direction on how to use them.   In either case, too much time is spent trying to figure out the next move and how to successfully transition their teams.
To join the successful 30%, organizations need change-agile leaders who can manage the change with little disruption to ongoing business needs. WLH Consulting, Inc. ("WLH") utilizes a structured framework entitled, the 5C's of Transition Leadership™. During a recent engagement where there was a major reorganization, the client committed to using the 5C's framework to support their leaders. This resulted in the leadership becoming equipped to deal with a host of variable issues related to their business, teams, and direct reports. Team leaders knew the questions and considerations they each had to tackle to drive the change initiative and achieve the desired results.

The 5C's Model helps organizations and leaders to:

  • Improve their personal commitment and buy-in to an announced change
  • Develop an effective transition plan to lead their teams through the changes
  • Mitigate business risks and impact as the organization undergoes transition
  • Quickly build high performing teams
  • Enhance transition coaching capabilities so individuals can meet their performance goals
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders throughout a change initiative
The 5C's of Leadership Transition™ is a proven and practical model that has been used with leaders at all organizational levels to execute large-scale change with teams and individuals.
WLH welcomes the opportunity to learn more about your organization and any upcoming or existing change initiatives.
