Help for Houston
Message from the Rabbi

I have been following the events in Houston with a very heavy heart.

My dear friend and colleague Rabbi Barry Gelman has told me about the devastation in his community and to his Shul, the United Orthodox Synagogue of Houston. This is not the first time in recent history that they have had to endure such hardships.

Having experienced Hurricane Sandy and its effects, I can personally relate to the severity of this trauma for both individuals and an entire community.
They need our help.

Our responsibility as a Jewish community is to assist those in need when we can. I urge you to daven on behalf of the entire Houston community and to help out as you can via the outlets set up below.

You can also make checks payable to the Etz Chaim Benevolent Fund and I will see to it that the funds get to where they are needed.

Let us hope that our Tefillos and Chesed will help our brothers and sisters in their time of need.
