It is June. Period. No matter where we are in life we seem to always revolve around the school year. Finals, graduations, camp preparations and travel plans are on our minds.
June also marks an important part of the Shul year. This is a time when we celebrate our accomplishments while taking note of our shortcomings with an eye towards improvement.
We will toast our graduates, honor our hard workers and swing for the fences (or fairways) all in the span of these few weeks.
Our Shul BBQ is the largest fundraiser of the year and we rely on that event to enable our Shul to function and provide all that we do. You have heard me call it the "Anti-Dinner" as we do it casual style, outdoors and in a very, very fun atmosphere. I am amazed each year how people simply do not want to leave the event.
So I ask each and every one of you to participate, contribute and join us for a wonderful event as we recognize Alan, Neil and Goldy for jobs well done. Let us celebrate our wonderful Shul and community after what has been a fantastic year.
I look forward to seeing you all there.
Shabbat Shalom
