Rabbi's Message
Parshat Vayeitzei
As I write these words, I am watching raindrops of blessing fall on the holy streets of Jerusalem. I can't help but echo the words of Yaakov Avinu who awoke from his fateful dream and declared that indeed he was in a holy place and he was located in the the "House of Hashem and the Gates of Heaven."

I also feel a great deal of appreciation at this moment which is most apropos as we celebrate Thanksgiving.  With relative ease, I was able to arrange getting to Israel for a very short visit if two days.  Yaakov Avinu was about to endure a grueling extended period away from the land of Israel. Everything he worked so hard to attain and dream about (literally) comes so easy for us. We truly live in a blessed and charmed era.

As we gather around the feasts for this holiday, let us be reminded of all those who worked so hard to give us all that we have.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday and I send holy blessings from the Ir Hakodesh.

Looking forward to seeing you all over Shabbat.
