Evans Community Member,
Welcome to Evans High School, "A Place of High Achievement" where our focus is on literacy, rigor and relationships. Our school's pillars of pride, determination and perseverance continue to be on display daily by our students, staff and community.
Teacher Appreciation Week
The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has designated one week in May, May 2nd-6th, as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children.
Thank you so much for all the hard work and energy you put into your job. Test scores have now become a way of life in the world of education, but it is vital that we not lose the wonderful moments and memories that happen every day. Those memories are because of you and your dedication.
I share these thoughts with our community, which depicts the work of our Trojan teachers:
- Thank you for the long, long hours you dedicate towards your profession; starting in early August until after the school year ends in late May.
- Thank you for doing all you can to make our campus a safe learning environment for our Trojans.
- Thank you for helping students discover passion for things they never even knew they liked.
ELA Testing
Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday, May 3rd, we will be giving the FSA ELA Reading exam to our 9th and 10th graders. This is the second and third of three sessions that students need to earn a score on the FSA ELA. The first session (FSA ELA Writing) was given in April. Our testing board has been updated and will be available to students to view. To accommodate testing, we will be on a modified bell schedule. We will start the school day with first period.
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week.
Mr. Bailey

The Evans High School Theatre Department presented the Little Shop of Horrors on Thursday, April 21st through Saturday, April 23rd. The deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical was a masterpiece. The Trojan Threatre came alive as Seymour negotiated with his plant Audrey II for the safety of the world. Great Job!
