FRSA Star award

Weather watch out

Tropical Storm Erin is forecast to move off to the west-northwest into the upcoming weekend.

The system is expected to bring locally heavy rain and gusty winds to the southern Cape Verde Islands through Thursday. After that time, it will move towards the central Atlantic Ocean with no impact to land into early next week.

It's too early to determine whether this system will have any impact on land farther to the west, including the eastern Caribbean Islands.

Roofing maintenance

How can you avoid potential risks? First of all, keep your roof in a good shape, have regular inspections to detect any sign of damage, make sure you have an efficient draining system and keep it functional. Clean the debris away and check the gutter for signs of clogging after every storm to ensure the water is cleared away. If you fail to do that, it might accumulate and then find any small crack in the walls or structure and infiltrate them.
