Post hurricane roof update

The hurricane season left its load of consequences, especially an increase in the need of material.

  1. High demand in tiles causes an average delay from 2 to 6 weeks for delivery after order

  2. A few mergers happened in the Florida tile market in the last 2 years:

    1. 2016: MONIER was bought by BORAL
    2. 2017: ENTEGRA bought out HANSON
    3. 2017: BORAL bought ENTEGRA. This buy-out will be surely followed by a price increase.

With this last merger, there is only 3 manufacturers on the Florida market: Boral, Eagle and Crown.

PRODUCT DISCONTINUATION: Entegra / Hanson announce that the design Regal from Hanson has been discontinued and the plant closed.

  • All those factors adding to the shortage in man power in the industry, affect the delay of response of Evans Roofing to his customers.
Low Temperatures in Florida

Low temperatures

We have all noticed that the temperature have been low in Florida this month.

A winter storm resulted in snow and a wintry mix (freezing rain, sleet, and ice) across northern Florida from Tallahassee to the outskirts of Jacksonville and as far south as Gainesville, with temperatures in the 20s and dewpoints in the teens in the morning.
