FEATURED SPEAKER: CAROL COOK

Pinellas School Board member, Legislative Chairperson and member of the Board of Directors for the Florida School Boards Association. First elected to the School Board in 2000, Carol has spent 9 years on the Florida PTA Board of Directors, is a former President of the Pinellas County Council of PTAs, and serves on the Florida School Boards Association (FSBA) Board of Directors. She has also served on several task forces for the Florida Department of Education and taught school for ten years.

FEATURED SPEAKER: VERNON PICKUP-CRAWFORD
Vernon is one of the longest serving education legislative lobbyists in the State of Florida. He is President of  Schoolhouse Consulting Group, Inc. and a former Palm Beach County School Administrator. Vern began his government relations work in 1974 and has specialized in K-12 education legislation for 30 regular sessions in Tallahassee.
