Bertha Reppert

This one-time only special sale will include a variety of unusual and rare to common medicinal and culinary tins, bottles, boxes, and old wooden seed boxes, nutmeg graters and grinders, mortar and pestles, spice carriers, perfume bottles and much more in herbal delights. These items are from the private collection of Herbalist Extraordinaire Bertha Peplau Reppert (1919 - 1999), author, lecturer and founder of The Rosemary House, and mom to Susanna, Nancy, Marjorie, and Carolynn. All proceeds benefit The Bertha & Byron L. Reppert Scholarship Fund which was established in 2001 to benefit two Mechanicsburg Area Senior High students.

This sale will be held during the Pennsylvania Herb and Garden Festival

at the York Expo Center, Memorial Hall, 334 Carlisle Avenue, York, PA on

Friday, April 11th from noon - 7 pm, and

Saturday April 12th from 9 am - 4 pm.

We are excited to welcome guest chefs Steve and Karen Dunlap of Mountainside Supper Club to the tea room. Specializing in farm to table menus using locally grown and organic produce and meats they prepare a prix fixe four-course dinner on the First Friday of the month. The menu is listed one month in advance on our special events page. Advance reservations required. BYOB. Downtown Mechanicsburg businesses are open later on First Friday.
