n April 30, 2018, the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce Business Development Corporation held its 21
st
Annual Excellence in Education (EIE) Scholarship Program. The event included a scholarship ceremony and awards program - recognizing twenty-six high school seniors as recipients of the Chamber's Business Development Corporation scholarships. In addition, the chamber also awarded the second annual EIE Leadership in Education Award to

Chief of Staff/Dallas Independent School District; Mr. Bill Mahomes -The Board of Regents/The Texas A&M University System; Dr. Michael McFarland, Superintendent /Crowley Independent School District; and Mr. Byron Sanders President & CEO/Big Thought. Professional Development and Leadership Training for DBCC members
The Chamber's commitment to providing value added benefits continues to evolve. We began the year by offering monthly webinars for members and their staff, and this month we are adding a member discount program from Office Depot and a specialized professional development and training program for our member business owners. Our commitment is to offer resources, information and services that are essential to business success and we encourage you to explore these important benefits.
The Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce and Skills for Small Business are teaming up to provide professional development and leadership training for DBCC members and their staff. The Skills for Small Business Program helps to enhance your staff's productivity and profits, through professional development training. The training curriculum is customized to meet the needs of your company.
Provided by seasoned training experts, Skills for Small Business increases business competitiveness, upgrades the skills of current employees and prepares newly hired employees for job requirements.
