The Downtown Improvement District announced the winner of this year's New Events Contest, which invited businesses, organizations, and individuals to submit their best ideas for a chance to receive significant production support for new events in February, March, or April 2019. The Downtown Improvement District is pleased to announce that Spring Forward Fest is the winner of this year's contest.

Taste of the Arts
East Main Street

Enjoy the 2018 Taste of the Arts festival to get a taste of Fort Wayne art, culture, food, drinks and more! The festival takes place on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25!

New Montessori School

Fort Wayne will get a new Montessori school, and, by design, it will operate from a storefront location in the heart of Downtown.

Lunch on the Square
Freimann Square

Music is provided each week and everyone is encouraged to support local business during the lunch hour. This is a free family-friendly event that is open to all ages. Join us on August 16!

This program is free and open to all ages. With a playground and free parking nearby, this is a program for everyone!
