Social Media Sensation "EmiSunshine" to appear at the Kentucky Opry in Draffenville, KY
It's impossible to explain the exceptional talents of EmiSunshine, a 10-year-old East Tennessee prodigy who has captured the nation's attention as a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Steeped in Appalachian music, she is a true vocal stylist, one who instinctively knows how to interpret the nuances of a song with her impressive range. Emi, who has 450,000 "likes" on Facebook, remains unaware of much of the whirlwind and demand swirling around her.

A stranger, John Barratt has been watching Sally as she comes in from the garden and tends the plants in the sun room. He knocks on the window and Sally lets him in when she realizes that they had met at a business function. When Mark comes home from work he and Sally think that John is here to talk about a business proposition. Mark finally asks John to leave as his patience runs out. Sally hands John his 'rather heavy' briefcase. John pulls out a gun. Sally and Mark are scared witless. What on earth is John really here for? There are more twist and turns to come before John's real purpose is revealed. This is one of those plays that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

 OCT 17 & 24 River City Ghost Tours
Paducah, KY-
A one hour walking tour of Downtown Paducah led by a Ghostly Guide who will lead you by lantern light as you walk to the actual sites filled with history, legend and lore. You will hear about the side of Paducah history filled with murder, the terrors of the nights and the mysteries of bygone days. Tours are at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00, 9:00 Saturday evening. Tickets are $15 for Adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Walking distance is approximately 3/4 of a mile total. All walking areas will be accessible to wheelchairs. Children under 5 are not really suited for this tour. Parental discretion is advised.
In addition to the downtown tours, two tours of Oak Grove Cemetery will be offered on October 24 at 7 and 8:30 PM. Hear the stories of some of the more interesting people interred in Oak Grove and at the mausoleum.

 OCT 17 Run with Cops not from the Cops 5K
Paducah, KY-
Paducah Police Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) is sponsoring Run with the Cops Not From the Cops 5K Run/Walk and a Kids' one mile run on Saturday, October 17 at 8 am at Noble Park.
This event is to promote positive relations with the community and the local policing agencies.
For the safety of the runners, the gates to Noble Park will be closed during the run. Vehicular access to the park will be limited to the baseball field parking lot off Park Avenue.

Marathon and Half Marathon. Run starts in Grand Rivers continuing into beautiful Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area. Beautiful views of Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River. It's not easy, with 1100' of gain for the 13.1 mile half marathon loop, and 2200' by the time you run it twice for the full, but the memories are worth it.

Trail of Tears Century Ride

The Trail of Tears Century (100 mile) is an impressive road route that takes you through rural Livingston County, KY. At approximately mile 35, you will travel the original Trail of Tears route, passing Mantle Rock. Then you will ride along the Ohio River with beautiful views and a short chance to recover from the near 3000 ft. of climbing you did in the first 50 miles! Then on to more hills and a very rewarding finish back in Grand Rivers.
