Season's greetings to you and yours!

Every kid looks forward to this special time of year when they can huddle around the fireplace with hot chocolate and dream about presents on their wish list.  However, for many local kids struggling with hunger and poverty, they're just worried about their next meal and whether they will be able to stay warm since the cost of heating is a luxury their family just can't afford.

When there's no food on the table, there's no joy in the home. Sadly, for too many Orange County residents this is a constant reality.

Your gift to the OC Food Bank will make the holidays happier for thousands of local families  this holiday season!

KaBoom Playground Build

More than 200 volunteers from Target, the OC Sheriff's Department, organizers from KaBOOM!, and residents of the Anaheim community have teamed up to build a new community playground at our Anaheim Family Resource Center.

Designed in August when children from the neighborhood put crayons to paper to draw their dream playground, the new play space includes the Wildwood Climber and an adventure bridge. The new playground will bring 600 kids in Anaheim one step closer to having the childhood they deserve.

As part of the construction, volunteers assembled the playground from start to finish in less than six hours. They mixed and poured thousands of pounds of concrete and moved enough safety surfacing to cover more than nine NBA-sized basketball courts.

Our OC Food Bank is Facing Holiday Meal Shortages
With winter-time holidays almost here, the OC Food Bank is short of holiday meals to distribute to local families.  Our Food Bank has issued an alert asking for donors who can help provide meals for local families in need. The shortage is due to the loss of money from a longtime donor who covered the cost of  up until last year.

Please think about helping all of the families who won't be able to put food on their tables this holiday. Everyone deserves to celebrate this season. PLEASE consider making a donation to purchase a meals for a hungry family. We need your help more than ever this holiday season and we are grateful for anything you can provide.
