"Be still and know that I am God."  Psalm 46:10

Next week begins the season of Lent, a season where we often work on cultivating stillness. While I was at the APCE (Association of Presbyterian Church Educators) Annual Event, I attended a workshop on cultivating inner stillness. The workshop leader taught that for many of us, cultivating stillness within is helped by having an activity to occupy our hands. Throughout the Lenten season, we will explore spiritual practices to cultivate stillness within our souls and in our bodies. Prayer stations located throughout the sanctuary will give us tangible practices to occupy our hands in prayer as we seek peace and stillness. I invite you to explore these stations, and to find other creative ways to cultivate stillness in body and mind as we approach this contemplative season.
