GREETINGS!

Happy New Year from Excel Beyond the Bell! Welcome to the inaugural issue of our new weekly newsletter. We hope this newsletter will provide everyone with a quick way to access updates and future events here at Excel Beyond the Bell. This week we will highlight our new course offering at Montgomery College as well as an upcoming Alcohol Prevention Video Contest.  

 

Announcing New Youth Principles and Best Practices Course in February; Scholarship Deadline Extended

Build Your Own Quality Out-of-School Time Program!  Excel Beyond the Bell (EBB) is excited to announce that Montgomery College in collaboration with the EBB network is offering a new course at Montgomery College to help you do just that! EDUC 250X: Youth Principles and Best Practices in Youth Development introduces the essential of programming for youth development, including creation, delivery and evaluation of high-quality out-of-school-time programs.  

 

Not only is this a great course, but it is being taught by our very own Lynn Sobolov! We have also extended the scholarship deadline by a week until January 14th. For more information including scholarship opportunities click here.

Keeping it Safe Video Contest

 

Keeping it Safe in conjunction with the under 21 Alcohol Coalition is proud to offer a Student Video Contest. Montgomery County private or public middle and high school students are invited to create a 30 second public service announcement video. Students can choose from a variety of topics and the winners will receive a cash prize and recognition for their school! Entries will be accepted starting January 26th through January 30th at 4:00pm.
