Albany Disaster Relief - To Help
Donate Now!
The Southwest Georgia area has been devastated by a number of tornadoes recently. The area is home to the Exchange Club of Albany , a large club with very active members, many of whom have been affected in some way. Many were without power for over a month. They can really use your help!

For this purpose, the National Exchange Club Foundation (a 501(c)3 organization) has established a disaster relief fund. If you would like to help fellow members in the Albany area, please click on the link NationalExchangeClub.org/Donors. Be sure to note Albany Disaster Relief in the Comments line.

Checks may also be made payable to (please note Albany Disaster Relief in the memo section) - NEC Foundation, 3050 Central Ave., Toledo, OH 43606

NECF will work with local Exchange Club leadership on the distribution of these funds in order to provide monetary assistance effectively and efficiently.

Please keep these families in your thoughts and prayers!

Programs of Service Opportunities
New opportunities for Exchange Clubs, Collegiate Clubs, Excel Clubs, and members to better their communities are always upon us . Here are a few suggestions to help generate project ideas:

February:
  • Help a school in your community by distributing school lunches, check or grade papers for teachers, help during recess, or help manage a school function.
  • Donate to a local food bank or learn how you can help feed the hungry in your community by visiting www.FeedingAmerica.org.
  • Begin planning ahead for Exchange's 106th anniversary in March!
March:
  • Celebrate Exchange's 106th anniversary on March 11! Hold a community-wide public awareness event featuring your local club, invite neighboring clubs and club members. Guests of honor could include the mayor, the chief of police, the fire chief, city council members, and possibly an unsung hero.
  • Look ahead to April, Child Abuse Prevention Month. Reach out to billboard companies now for CAP Month PSAs!
  • In addition to planning for Believe in the Blue, consider materials that can help spread awareness in your community (find your items at the Exchange MarketPlace). Contact National Headquarters for information about renting Time Out Teddy for your event!
April:
  • Think May - Freedom Shrine Month! Dedicating or rededicating an existing Freedom Shrine, and replacing worn documents, is a thoughtful way to memorialize the founding documents of our great country.

Please remember to share pictures of your club at work with National Headquarters: [email protected] and share on social media with #ExchangeStrong and #GrowExchange!

For additional information regarding service projects and ideas, please sign in to the Member Resources section of Exchange's website.
