Excitement builds as Tenth Triennial Gathering registration opens Sept. 6 

We have only a few days until registration for the Tenth Triennial Gathering opens! Excitement around the churchwide offices is building as mailings are going out and phones calls are coming in. People are asking about our gathering. How about you? Are you going? Will you bring a friend? Download a registration book or request one at welcatg.org.

COLORING, CHATTING, CHARGING
 
Women of the ELCA's exhibit at the churchwide assembly (CWA) was a mixture of coloring, chatting and charging.
The Power Tower, a charging station, photo booth and interactive computer took center stage. CWA participants welcomed the phone charger. They also enjoyed getting their photos snapped and coloring at our meditative coloring tables. Men and women gathered around the table-sized coloring sheets, engaged in conversation and just relaxed. NOMINATIONS OPEN UNTIL NOV. 30 
 
Nominations for churchwide leadership in the 2017-2020 triennium are being received through November 30, 2016. Nominations are being accepted for secretary, treasurer and board members. The president and vice president are elected at the convention by nominating ballot, so no advance nominations are needed for these two positions. The Tenth Triennial Convention of Women of the ELCA will be held July 11-13, 2017, in Minneapolis, Minn. Find the nomination form here.

THREE-WEEK TOUR OFFERS REFORMATION HIGHLIGHTS 
 
In May of 2017, the Mount Tabor Ecumenical Center (for Art and Spirituality) invites you to take part in an ecumenical adventure: a three week European tour studying contemporary sacred art and celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. This journey through France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy will include symposiums in Paris, Strasbourg and Florence highlighting the ongoing reformation of the church.
