Clear Language Lab

We're thrilled to announce a new division of Literacy Works: Clear Language Lab.

Over 32 million adults in the United States struggle with reading and writing.

Clear Language Lab consultants help private and public organizations deliver their messages to their audiences in clear and understandable ways. We make sure that the people who need the information can understand it.

We believe that i nformation is power , and to have a truly equitable society, information should be transparent and accessible for everyone.

Clear Language Lab at Literacy Works

New programming. Familiar faces.

Melanie Sampson, previously our Adult and Family Literacy Specialist, is the new Content Director of Clear Language Lab at Literacy Works. In this role, she works closely with clients across sectors such as workforce development, health, and government agencies to help staff effectively communicate with adults with diverse educational backgrounds. Becky DeForest continues as Director of Community Literacy, providing capacity-building support to over 50 member programs and others in the Chicagoland area who serve adult learners. Find out more about the Community Literacy Program.
