More than two dozen executives received an educational experience of a lifetime at Webster University's leadership workshop, Raising Your Game and Driving Superior Performance.  During the week-long workshop, program participants engaged in activities and field experiences designed to challenge their thinking about leadership, guide their leadership development and show them how to maximize their impact on their organization.  Learn more.

 

Nearly 75 high school students put their programming skills to the test at the Walker School's 11th Annual Computer Programming Contest.  At the conclusion of the event, Dean Benjamin Akande asked students to think about success not in terms of money but rather how they can use their talents to solve problems.  Find out more.

Representatives from Fifth-Third Bank met with Walker School students during Community Break Week to discuss financial solutions and internship and employment opportunities.  This event was a great way for students to network with professionals from the business community. Learn more

Ten years ago, Rodger Riney, founder and chief executive officer of Scottrade, presented, "An Entrepreneurial History of Bricks & Clicks," at the Walker Speaker Series.  In his lecture, he shared how he got started in the discount brokerage business, its evolution from Scottsdale Securities to Scottrade, and how the Internet changed the industry. 

 

While much has changed in the decade since he shared his story at the Walker School, Mr. Riney continues to be a leader in the financial services industry.  View his lecture for insights.
