The Twelve Principles Retreats are here to take you deeper into your personal recovery from any addiction or multiple addictions.

What are the Twelve Principles?  The Twelve Principles were designed by Dr. Patrick Carnes to move us from following the "rules" of the steps to a life full of freedom as we integrate the Principles into our very way of being. The Twelve Principles teach us how to live the values behind the steps in all aspects of our daily lives.

Join us for the upcoming Twelve Principle Retreat supporting the American Foundation for Addiction Research (AFAR) with field leading experts:
  • Dr. Patrick Carnes
  • Carver Brown
  • Jerrold Mundis
The Twelve Principles Commitment Retreat will be held in Scottsdale, Arizona from August 28-30 concentrating on creating congruence - fitting the pieces of our life together in a way that works.

What will I take from this retreat?  The question, "How am I responsible?" is the central focus of Principle Eight. From this principle you will expand upon the importance of living a life of commitment and making amends to do the right thing. Working through Principle Eight will help you tap into your 'shadow self'; embracing it and struggling with it until you find your inner most strengths. These strengths will continue to evolve as you continue to grow into a person of integrity and grace.
