What an exquisite home! From the moment you pull into the drive you know you have found a treasure! Watch the wild cardinals play in the water fountain through the decorative wrought iron gates in the beautifully landscaped courtyard as you approach the front entry.

This Mediterranean/Spanish inspired home has a character all its own. A modern day oasis. With 5 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms, a game room, family room, formal dining and living more...this home has all the room you need.

The grand foyer, with its soaring 18' ceiling, showcases the intricately trimmed circular staircase leading to the master suite and three of the four guest bedrooms. Guest bedrooms 1 and 2 each have their own full bathroom, while a jack & jill style bathroom accommodates guest bedrooms 3 and 4.
In the master suite, enjoy a long soak in the nearly 8' long sunken tub with views of the sundeck, backyard, pool and Koi pond or enjoy the views right on the sundeck itself.

Just past the arched brick wall in the kitchen lies the dinette area, featuring a tinted glass ceiling and glass wall looking out to the backyard and pool area, giving it incredible ambience.

Two separate wood burning fire places are located in the master bedroom and family room. The laundry room is covered from wall to wall, floor to ceiling with cabinetry plus a built in desk area.  Just off the laundry room sits a full bath, functioning as the pool bath, that exits to the back yard.

Double sets of French doors surround the perimeter of the home, opening nearly every common area and bedroom to the courtyard, screened lanai, or private balcony and sun deck. Wooden swings hang from the huge Live Oaks and Water Oaks that shade the irrigated yard and landscaping.

Stone decking surround the swimming pool with waterfall and water slide. Sit and watch the Koi swim in the pond with waterfalls while sinking your toes into the "beach". The screened lanai includes an outdoor kitchen complete with sink and 5 burner gas cook-top with griddle under a commercial grade exhaust fan.

This one of a kind property is a must see!

A Look Into the Past

Swimming Pools

Swimming pools - at least man-made watering holes for bathing and swimming - go back at least as far as 2600 B.C.E. The first elaborate construction are probably The Great Baths of Mohenjodaro, an ancient and elaborate bathing site in Pakistan made from bricks and covered in plaster, with terraced decks that wouldn't look out of place in a modern pool landscape. Mohenjodaro probably wasn't used for general lap swimming, however.
Scholars believe it was used in religious ceremonies.
More man-made pools surfaced throughout the ancient world. In Rome and Greece, swimming was part of the education of elementary age boys and the Romans built the first swimming pools (separate from bathing pools). The first heated swimming pool was built by Gaius Maecenas of Rome in the first century BC.
Swimming pools did not become popular until the middle of the  19th century. By 1837, six indoor pools with diving boards were built in London, England. After the modern Olympic Games began in 1896 and swimming races were among the original events, the popularity of swimming pools began to spread
According to the book Contested Waters: A Social History of Swimming in America, the Cabot Street Bath in Boston was the first swimming pool in the U.S.  It opened in 1868 and served a neighborhood where most of the homes did not have baths.
