Visitors
Last week four exchange students from the Republic of Kazakhstan visited SPI and our center. Kazakhstan is located in Central Asia, and borders with Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. During the mid-19th Century, all of Kazakhstan was part of the Russian Empire. After years of going through a Russian Revolution, Civil War and being part of the Soviet Union, Kazakhstan was the last of the Soviet Republics to declare independence following the 1991 dissolution of the Soviet Union. Their population is 17.7 million and it is the ninth largest country in the world! Hopefully, we will see more visitors from the Republic of Kazakhstan in the near future!!
