"I'll see you in the morning," my mom said.
"I hope not..." said my dad.
And then...they laughed.
They laughed.
The laugh of kids. The laugh of those who know that earth is not their true home.
The laugh of those who know they are only passing through.
The laugh of those who know who they are, because of whose they are.
The laugh of those who know that despite circumstances that seem easy or tough, they have a Daddy who loves them. A Daddy who knows them. A Daddy who ha
s prepared a place for them.
The laugh of those who know that when their time on earth is over and their purpose on earth is fulfilled, they're going home.
Going home to see their Daddy. Going home to hear well done.
Going home to dance on streets of gold...oh, and let's not forget the crowns! :)
The laugh of those who know they are loved.
The laugh of those who know they are cherished.
The laugh of those who know they are longed for.
The laugh of those who know they belong.
Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. There is more than enough room in my Father's home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. from John 14:1-3
The Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. And those who have died believing in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive will be gathered up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with the Lord forever.
So encourage each other with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world." [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] John 16:33
