AGC Ohio Scholarships
Applications Due February 8, 2018
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio Education Foundation is currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2018-19 academic year. Approximately 25 scholarships, typically in the amount of $1,000 , will be awarded to students pursuing careers in construction related fields, Construction Management, Engineering , Architects, etc. The application deadline is February 8, 2018.

Application requirements include:
Must be US Citizen
Maintain >2.5 GPA (4.0 Scale)
Enrolled Undergrad in => 2 nd  Year of 2-5 Years Programs of Study

BX Scholarship Program
Applications Due February 23, 2018
The Builders Exchange of Central Ohio is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2018/19 school year. For more than 50 years, the BX Scholarship Program has awarded more than $1.2 million in tuition assistance to students in need. Eligible students must be enrolled in or entering a two-year technical program or in a four-year college program and be in a construction-related field of study . Students can access the application  here  or visit the scholarship page on our website at  www.bx.org .

Math TA Applications Now Open
The Department of Mathematics is beginning its annual process of hiring undergraduate TAs for the 2017-18 school year. We are looking for students with strong math backgrounds (including credit for at least 2 courses higher than Math 2153, at least a 3.0 GPA and excellent communication skills. JUROS 3 Minute Thesis Competition
This is your opportunity to showcase your skills in comprehension and translation of what you are currently researching. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 28th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.

What exactly is a 3MT competition? Essentially, it challenges the presenters to summarize their research to an audience in 180 seconds. The presentation should be understandable by those that have little-to-no background knowledge on your area of research. The competition is intended to be intellectually stimulating and challenging, and is also fun for everyone involved. All materials for the 3MT competition should be able to fit onto a single PowerPoint slide. This is open to all students

Brain Health Hack Information Sessions
Join the Stanley D. and Joan H. Ross Center for Brain Health and Performance, Ohio State’s Neurological Research Institute and Ohio State’s Chronic Brain Injury Discovery Theme for the first Brain Health Hack on March 24-25. The weekend long event will focus on building and creating real projects to help address various brain health and performance research and clinical needs. Teams will design, build and demonstrate projects to a live audience of students, faculty and representatives from both the health care and tech industry. Weekend Innovate-O-Thon
Materials & Manufacturing for Sustainability Discovery Theme is hosting an INNOVATE-O-thon with ENGIE, a global company responsible for Ohio State main campus’ utilities, February 9, 10, 11 at our Innovation Lab on Kinnear Rd. Winning teams will receive  CASH PRIZES , and the group with the most out-of-the-box creative idea will win a prize. Food will be provided for the duration of the challenge, and every student who participates will receive a T-shirt.
