CSM/ASM Women's Networking Group Upcoming Events!
Mark your calendar for February 28th, March 21st, and April 14th
The CSM/ASM Women’s Networking Group is a new, student led, group that was started to help women in both industries network with other women in the majors and within their industries. Since both industries have so few women, it can often be challenging to find other females to network with. Each semester, we will be hosting three events, which are open to everyone in ASM and CSM. These events are there to help students gain knowledge of industry topics while also opening up dialogues about some of the challenges women face.

Please see our Facebook page for updates on all information on our group.

If you know of anyone who would be interested in coming out to speak or would like to host a site tour, please have them contact Rochelle Stapp.

February 28th – Social Event
Buffalo Wild Wings at 2151 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201
This is a casual event where students and industry women can come out and get to know each other.
March 21st – Industry Speaker
For our speaker, we have Andrew Hunkins, Senior Project Manager, from Corna Kokosing. Andrew will be coming out to discuss what Pull Planning is while also having a hands on exercise that will allow for students to gain knowledge on what all goes in to a successful schedule.

Unlike traditional scheduling, pull planning allows for the dates and time duration to be open to more than just a few. Subcontractors are invited to come out from all trades to all for them to create their own schedule. This allows for subcontractors to see what other trades will be going on and allows for them to see conflicts before they arise.

April 18th – Site Tour
The site tour will be at the College of Dentistry Building at Postle Hall, which is currently undergoing a $95 Million renovation and addition to the existing building. We will do networking at 5:30 PM and the presentation will start at 6:00 PM and go until 7:00 PM.
