Ware Selected as 64th Recipient of BX Cornerstone Award
W. Mac Ware, instructor and internship coordinator for the Construction Systems Management Program has been selected as the 64th recipient of the BX Cornerstone Award.

Ware was selected based on his leadership contributions to the community, the industry and the Exchange. Considered to be the highest honor presented in the central Ohio construction industry, the Cornerstone Award has been given annually since 1954.

AWARES Graduates Third Class of Students
Over the course of the past academic year, 17 future engineers and scientists have discussed how to combat a troubling trend in STEM fields: low advancement and retention of women in the workplace. It’s a problem plaguing male-dominated fields that the Aspiration for Women’s Advancement and Retention in Engineering and Science (AWARES) program hopes to change.

Molly Caren Agricultural Center/Farm Science Review Student Employment Opportunities
The Farm Science Review is looking fill summer student positions and continuation of work into the Fall Semester.

Farm Position Description:
Operation of equipment including tractors, mowers and hand tools; Maintain grounds and field crops; Minor maintenance (preventative and repairing) of buildings and equipment; Assist with the set-up and tear down of Farm Science Review; Ability to work in team environment.

FABE Undergraduate Technical and Research Position
Undergraduate technical and research position available working with Dr. Larry Brown starting second half of spring semester and for the summer. Projects focus on drainage water management demonstration and applied research projects at Waterman Lab and several Northwest Ohio Counties. Specific project components include wood-chip bioreactors for nitrate and phosphate filters to treat agricultural drainage waters; setting up monitoring equipment, collecting water samples, etc. Possibilities for more than one student. Please contact Dr. Brown (Office is 214) at  [email protected]  or 614-292-3826.
