Engineering, CFAES, and FABE Departmental Student Scholarships
Applications Due February 1
All students in the department are encouraged to complete BOTH the OSU Special Scholarships and CFAES Student Scholarships applications. Apply for hundreds of Ohio State special-eligibility scholarships with a wide variety of eligibility criteria (including College of Engineering specific scholarships) via the OSU Special Scholarships app. By completing the CFAES Student Scholarships app, you will be eligible for various awards offered by CFAES and the FABE department.


Fellowships for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or other East Asian language study
Applications Due February 1, 2018
The East Asian Studies Center offers a unique fellowship opportunity for undergraduate students in STEM departments who are interested in studying Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or other East Asian language. The Ohio State University is the recipient of a U.S. Department of Education Title VI grant for East Asian studies, allowing us to offer several of these fellowships for either intensive summer language study or academic year STEM and language study. AGC Ohio Scholarships
Applications Due February 8, 2018
The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio Education Foundation is currently accepting scholarship applications for the 2018-19 academic year. Approximately 25 scholarships, typically in the amount of $1,000 , will be awarded to students pursuing careers in construction related fields, Construction Management, Engineering, Architects, etc. The application deadline is February 8, 2018.

Application requirements include:
Must be US Citizen
Maintain >2.5 GPA (4.0 Scale)
Enrolled Undergrad in => 2 nd  Year of 2-5 Years Programs of Study

Ohio Contractors Association Hall of Fame Scholarshi p
Since 1996, OCA has awarded nearly $200,000 in scholarships to support promising future talent studying for careers in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Construction Management. Scholarships are available for students with graduating goals set at the associate and bachelor's degree levels. OCA recognizes the value that our Hall of Fame Scholarship recipients bring to our industry. These scholarships are for students enrolled in a degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, Construction Management, or related studies.

The Pat Tillman Foundation offers the Tillman Military Scholars program, which awards  up to 60 scholarships nationwide ! These scholarships apply towards undergraduate or graduate/professional school expenses, and are renewable. In many cases, they may pay all tuition, fees, living stipends, and expenses—even for graduate, doctorate, medical, law, and other professional degrees. These scholarships are open to all military members, veterans (honorably discharged),  and their spouses. MSE Computer Lab Monitor Position:
Lab monitors in the Materials Science and Engineering student computer labs will help to ensure that the environment is clean and ready for instructional purposes by faculty, staff and students. They will assist in the maintenance of printers, enforce lab policy, and perform other duties as assigned to support Information Technology services.

Specific duties include:
• Maintain printers in student computing labs; clear jams, replace toner cartridges and keep paper drawers full. 
• Clean keyboards, mice and tables. 
• Perform hardware and software installations.
• Assist IT staff with other duties, such as moving equipment and faculty/staff requests for assistance.

The student lab monitor would work approximately 10 hours per week for a wage of $9.00/hr.

Experience OSU for a Day Hosts & Spring Semester Schedules Needed
Do you enjoy sharing your passion for Ohio State with others? Would you be willing to show high school students what it is like to be a Buckeye? The "Experience OSU for a Day" (EOFD) Program allows prospective students to get a feel for what college is really like. These students visit CFAES frequently, and we are in need of volunteers to show these students around campus when they come to visit. If you were a host last semester, we need your new schedule!
 
EOFD Hosts volunteer to have prospective high school students shadow them from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. for 1-2 weekdays each semester. Hosting is very flexible and can be adjusted to fit your schedule. Hosts are encouraged to take their shadow(s) to class, the Oval, the Union, a room in Nosker House, and to eat lunch at Parker Dairy Store (lunch is free for the host and shadow). Hosting is open to any CFAES student who has completed at least one semester of classes at the Columbus campus.
