Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced Tuesday the addition of Andrew Joudrey to the 2013-14 roster, re-signing the 29-year-old forward to a one-year, AHL contract.

Joudrey, a six-year AHL veteran, served as the Falcons' assistant captain for the past two seasons and posted 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists) in 146 games over that span. The Bedford, Nova Scotia native received the team's Dick Casey True Grit award for his efforts throughout the 2012-13 campaign.

Joudrey played the previous four seasons with the Hershey Bears, after finishing his collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin in 2007. As a member of the Bears, Joudrey won the Calder Cup championship in 2008-09, netting a goal and three assists in 22 playoff games.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pounder was an eighth-round selection (249th overall) of the Washington Capitals in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
