FALSD NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
February 10, 2015
Jonah TolenoFALSD President
President's Message
Welcome to what we hope will be another successful year for FALSD's membership. We had an amazing time celebrating our Annual Dinner and Installation of Officers with Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego. Thank you to our attendees, our generous sponsors, keynote speaker David Lat, emcee Lee Ann Kim, Katriz Tinidad, the UCSD Tritones, and our volunteers for helping make the Annual Dinner a warm and inspirational event.

The Dinner may be over, but the fun certainly is not. I am so excited to serve as FALSD's 2015 President! I look forward to working with our Board and members to further our mission to ensure equal opportunities for Filipino American attorneys and law students in the legal profession. We have several exciting events already lined up, including social mixers we are co-sponsoring with other local organizations, volunteer opportunities, and a reenactment of the landmark employment discrimination case, Wards Cove Packing Co. v. Antonio, concerning the conditions faced by Filipino American cannery workers.

I encourage all of you to maintain your membership (i.e. pay dues timely) (insert smiley face here) and invite new folks to join. You can renew today by clicking HERE. The rewards of participating in FALSD's events the past few years are innumerable for me, and it is my genuine hope that you experience the same in the coming year. Please visit our website at www.falsd.org and Facebook page at facebook.com/falsd1 for more information. Trust me, you won't regret getting more involved with FALSD. Salamat!
