 Mrs. Tara's Corner Happy New Year!! I pray you have had a great time celebrating the birth of Jesus, playing in the snow and preparing to say goodbye to 2010 and Hello 2011! I also pray you and your family have taken the time to set some goals for this New Year!

As I write this we have a precious FBC family who needs our prayers. When I returned home yesterday I learned, Ryan and Keenon Hulton welcomed their son, Sam into this world on Christmas Eve. Sam was 4 months premature. Will you join me in praying for them? You can also follow their journey here ! (this request and blog is being shared with their permission). Please leave a comment to let them know our FBC family is praying!
It is so important to pray for families who are preparing for additions to their families ........via birth or adoption.
We are in need of volunteers for a variety of ministries............please check the article below and see if you can help with any of our needs!

Volunteers Needed
Did you know that every Sunday morning we need 109 people to serve in all the different classes we offer at FBC? If you are not currently serving, would you consider serving?
We do ask all parents who are members to serve in Kid's Church or Worship Care on a quarterly rotation (if you are a regular attendee and would like to volunteer please feel free to email me)!
If you know of others who would be willing to serve please let me know!
Here are our current needs!
Worship Care - 11 a.m. Sunday mornings
Kid's Church 9:45 or 11 am. Sunday mornings
One year Old's Discovery Zone 9:45 Sunday mornings
3rd - 5th Grade Discovery Zone 11:00 a.m. Sunday mornings
Special Needs Buddies 8:30 or 9:45 a.m. Sunday mornings (as needed)
Special Needs Class Helpers 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mornings (begins Jan. 30)

 Join us Thursday, January 6th as we hear from Lettie Kirpatrick-Burress. She will be sharing how to celebrate holidays all year long. You will leave inspired and with a take home booklet.
We will fellowship with snacks (please bring a snack to share) and the church will provide the drinks! Childcare is provided with a reservation (please RSVP through Monday, January 3rd) nursing babies only in the session please.

6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Grab your suit and towel, bring a snack to share and invite some friends! We will put all the snacks together in the Party Room and the church will provide the drinks!
Come on moms and dads bring your suits too........it really is a lot of fun!
Who will come make a big splash with me?
Registration is not required but helpful in planning..........so if you know you are going to attend please let us know. However, if you forget or your plans change.......just come join us!
