What an amazingly beautiful fall we are having; we are blessed with the warm temperatures.
Our Come 2 Me Youth Conference just wrapped up, and it was a blessed event. There was a total of six Salvations!
In addition, about 60 youth were discipled and encouraged in the Lord during our Saturday breakout sessions. If that weren't enough, Brock Gill amazed us with his talent and touched us all with the Gospel message.
I look forward to doing this again next year.
We just completed our most recent New Member's Class and added nine new members to our church family! I would like to welcome Josh & Alia Bailey, Nicholas & Heather Dugger, Rachel Handeland, Jason & Celeste Holbrook, and Darren & Amy Wagner. What a blessing you and your children are to us.
I want to thank you for allowing me to serve as your pastor. I do not take for granted the privilege of leading you and count it all to God's glory that He enables me to rightly divide His word as we all grow more into the image of our Savoir. Thank you all for the cards for Pastor Appreciation Day and for your continual support. This truly is a great church!
If you don't already have plans, please sign up for our Church Family Thanksgiving Dinner November 24th at 3:00. We have some fun things planned for those in attendance. I look forward to some good fellowship time with you.
We are inching closer and a closer to the purchase of the new building across the street. We are still awaiting the results of soil testing but are pressing ahead with the funding. We are only $60,000 away from being able to pay cash for the building! If you feel led by God to support this endeavor, your financial gifts would be a huge blessing. I'm praying we will be able to start work on it next summer and long to use this Community Outreach Center to reach our local neighborhoods for Christ. Please pray for this project.
Do you remember our theme verse for this 2016? "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another," - John 13:34-35. Here at First Baptist Church North Pole we may not be perfect, but I think we sure are attempting to live out Christ's command!
