Starting Point is where we help you know more about what we believe, share next steps, help you grow in your faith, and help you connect into the FCC family. Those who want to learn more about following Christ, being baptized, or becoming a member of FCC will find this gathering valuable. If you have children you can drop them off in the Clubhouse Children's area first and then come to the coffee shop. Come enjoy some coffee and learn more about FCC. TOGETHER: God's Plan to Redeem the World is the theme for this year's conference. We will be challenged from God's word to work together as men and women, youth, professionals, non-professionals, citizens of one global village, one body, one spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all. Included are over 575 exhibit booths, 125 workshops and evening worship services. You can find more info or register for the conference at
www.theicom.org. Registration is $40 per individual and $80 per family. Please call the church office or email [email protected] by October 23 if you are interested in attending and would like financial assistance.

It is TRUNK OR TREAT time! We are joining the Jacksonville Main Street for their Pumpkin Festival downtown on the square on Saturday, October 21. We are in need of vehicle trunks! Stop by the table in the Foyer to sign up and see other items needed. You can also purchase tickets for the pumpkin festival. Trunk or treat is FREE but a ticket for all of the other fun activities are $8 in advance and $10 the day of the event. You can get your ticket today or in the Church Office during the week.

All college age students are invited for a fun night in the Warehouse beginning Sunday, October 1. This is a new college ministry that will meet every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. Come out for games and PIZZA! Don't forget to bring a friend!

Bud Owens & Dave Nance will be offering the class "How to Live the Christian Life" starting Tuesday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The four-part class is designed to build faith and lead participants into a closer relationship with Christ. Information Center on Sunday mornings.

Bill Warren, who works for F.A.M.E. (Fellowship of Associates of Medical Evangelism), will be here for Mission Sunday on October 29. He will have a display set up in the Foyer and will be giving a short talk during each service. Stay tuned for more details!

The Jacksonville Food Center is in need of donations. For the month of October we will be collecting
canned vegetables and box mac n cheese. Please drop off donations off in the boxes at the North or South doors of the Foyer.

We have invited Eric Maddox, the man who tracked down Saddam Hussein, to give a presentation about his experience on Saturday, November 11 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. If you would like to learn more about him, visit ericmaddox.com

We are launching a new check-in system for the Clubhouse children's area. We need all parents of kids birth - 12th grade to please fill out the form. You can find it on our website (fccjacksonville.org) and our app (fccjville). The old system does not connect with the new system, so it is important that we have your families correct information.

For a long while now, FCC has been known within the community as a "praying" church. We are excited to be growing in this area of ministry. The Women's prayer ministry has recently come along side our Elders to pray with individuals after each Sunday morning service in the Fireside Room. We are expanding to offer one-on-one prayer with women at other times throughout the week and host a prayer time every other Thursday night, 5:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the church. All ladies are invited to join in the Sanctuary to pray and care for our community.

Do you love to quilt? Like to sew? Or are you interested in
learning? You are invited to join with other ladies to work on projects to donate to various charity organizations. This group will meet the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month
in the Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Bring a sack lunch, a sewing machine, thread, quilting tools and any fabric you wish to donate. If you have none of these, come anyway to help and enjoy the fellowship. Text or call Ruth Ann Hull at 217-248-8751 for more information!
