This service is sponsored by the Hospice of the Comforter's Horizons Bereavement Center.
 
After lighting a candle in memory of your loved one, participate in a serene memorial service where your loved one's name will be read from our List of Remembrance and you will be presented with a red rose.  Reception and refreshments immediately follow the service.

Palm Cross Construction and Instruction
April 8, 12:30 - 2 p.m.  

FCCWP Green Team will offer handmade palm crosses on Palm Sunday.  You are invited to learn to make a UCC design palm cross from one wisp of a palm front.  Join your instructors, Lorelei and Clinton Francis in Fellowship Hall on Saturday, April 8.  If it's a nice day, we'll work outside.

Palm Fronds Needed April 9

If you are able to bring palm fronds for the children to wave as they enter church as a group on Palm Sunday, please drop them off on Saturday, April 8 on the front porch to the right of the Sanctuary door.

Stetson Concert Choir presents the St. John Passion

The ST. JOHN PASSION, by J.S. Bach will be performed at Stetson University (DeLand, Florida) in Lee Chapel during Holy Week on 
Tuesday, April 11, at 7:30pm.  The Stetson Concert Choir will be collaborating with student soloists, Stetson alumni, guest Evangelist, Derek Chester, and a chamber orchestra comprised of professional instrumentalists, Stetson School of Music faculty, and students.  The performance will be conducted by guest conductor, Simon Carrington.  Tickets will available at the door and currently on sale at: stetson.edu/music-tickets

Membership Conversation
May 7

If you would like to learn more about FCCWP and the UCC denomination, please join us on Sunday, May 7 at 11:30 a.m. in the church parlor just off Fellowship Hall.  This is an hour-long, casual conversation with Rev. Baldwin Scholarship

Applications are available in the church office (407-647-2416). Awards are based equally on financial need and academic merit. The deadline for receipt of completed applications in 5:00 p.m., Thursday, June 1, 2017.
Graduation Sunday, April 30

One of our youth, John Binkley, has initiated a community project to collect children/teen books to donate to the Women's Residential Counseling Center and other local shelters.  Please drop books only in the box near the elevator in Fellowship Hall.  No toys, please.
