Track 4: Cellulosic & Advanced Ethanol
Reviewing the Efforts to Develop Commercially Viable Biological Pathways to Cellulosic Ethanol Production
Wednesday, June 6 | 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Featuring presenters from industry heavyweights, this panel will explore in depth the state of the research and development of biological processes and products aimed at unlocking the fuel potential of crop residues rich in cellulose and hemicellulose. Attendees will be brought up to speed on the latest research and learn which strategies and partnerships are being pursued to bring products to the marketplace that will enable producers to deliver commercial volumes of cellulosic ethanol to a waiting fuel market.

Track 3: Coproducts & Product Diversification
Maintaining Coproduct Value while Simultaneously Capturing the Financial Benefits of Corn Oil Extraction
Wednesday, June 6 | 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

In the last year the production of corn oil from the existing ethanol fleet has nearly doubled and the industry is working diligently to understand the impacts to the price of this new commodity and the price and quality of the feed products leaving ethanol plants. With an eye on balancing this growing revenue opportunity with the nutritional requirements of the livestock industry that has adopted DDGS as a portion of their standard ration, this panel is a must for producers looking to maximize the coproduct balance of their facility.

Exciting and Informative Industry Tours
Space is Limited
Thursday, June 7, 2012 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

BBI International is pleased to offer an industry tour at this year’s International Fuel Ethanol Workshop & Expo. The tour offers attendees the chance to see two industry leading companies in energy beets and corn oil extraction as well as a rail and fire safety program from Canadian Pacific railway. These tours will be held on Thursday, June 7th immediately following the main conference. There are a limited number of seats so reserve yours today!

Betaseed
Betaseed is the leading sugarbeet seed supplier for growers in North America. Since 1970, Betaseed has continued their pioneering research into producing high yielding beets for farmers from their Shakopee, MN location. This Shakopee location consists of 70 acres of prime irrigated research land with 1000's of test plots annually and a brand new state-of–the-art greenhouse. Betaseed is leading the energy beet revolution via breeding efforts at this location and at their major breeding facilities in Idaho and in the Red River Valley of MN. Attendees will get the chance to tour their Shakopee, MN facility, green house and the breeding nursery. Attendees with questions about energy beets and next generation biofuels feedstock are encouraged to attend this tour.

Crown Ironworks
Being the largest supplier of oilseed extraction technology in North America, Crown Ironworks is uniquely placed to help Ethanol plants maximum their corn oil extraction. Crown Ironworks’ Research and Development team has tackled issues from preparation / dehulling to biodiesel to extraction technologies. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour their R&D lab in Roseville, MN. Any plant planning on seriously considering an equipment upgrade should consider this ‘behind the scenes’ tour of one of the industry’s largest players.

Canadian Pacific rail fire safety
An ethanol unit train just derailed a few miles from your plant. Your plant had talked about what to do, but facing the almost invisible flame is something different. With more ethanol moving by train every year, accidents happen. Canadian Pacific railway has offered to give our attendees a detailed look into rail safety and response to a train derailment and fires. This will be a specific FEW only demonstration to allow attendees to soak up important information on safety, best practices and a demonstration of tools and materials.
