AP's Corner: James Carrick
The first semester is rapidly coming to a close and finals will be given Thursday, Dec. 21st and Friday, Dec. 22nd. Both days are 1/2 day exam days from 7:30 - 11:45 a.m.. On Thursday, students will take finals in Periods 1, 3, & 5. On Friday, exams will be given for Periods 2, 4, & 6. Teachers are working hard to prepare your student(s) for success and are readily available during Power Hour (M, T, Th, & F from 2:30 - 3:20 p.m.). Hopefully your student, your student's teachers, and you have been in contact throughout the semester and are working as a team to make this the best year possible! If you have been noticing "I's" in the grade book, please make sure your daughter/son is working with her/his teacher(s) to get those assignments made-up before the end of the semester.
In an effort to ensure that all students have the best testing environment possible, the office will not call students out during class periods. If you need your student to leave early, please come during passing periods (final exam schedule is available online). Additionally, please encourage your student to leave his/her phone at home on these days (students that use their phone during a final exam period may receive a zero, even if their exam has been handed in).
Finally, make sure your student(s) is getting plenty of rest, eating healthy, and studying! Have a happy holiday season and enjoy the quality time with your family and friends.
