Conference Parking Update

Due to the limited parking at Stowe, we are asking you to consider carpooling with others from your state! You will save money, have more fun on the long drive up, and help other attendees, presenters and vendors that will also need a place to park. 

 

We did receive an even larger discount for valet parking from Stowe Mountain Lodge. 
Valet parking will be $5 per day.

HUD Program Update
 

Carissa Janis from HUD Headquarters in DC will join us and provide an update on the latest news regarding the HUD Multifamily Housing Service Coordinator program.
 

In particular, she will discuss the recently revised semi-Annual Performance Report and the proposed regulations for theService Coordinator program.  She will also provide information on HUD program monitoring procedures and the outlook for future funding.

TEAMWORK, FUN & EXERCISE!
Lead by ACME Teamwork, Inc., participants will try and set the "NERSC world record" in how many times we can hit the ball over the net.  

Using an ultra soft large ball and the rules are somewhat like the real game. 3 chances to get it over the net and no player can hit it 2 times in a row. 

Come join us in the plaza, located just outside of the back lobby doors.  Bring your family and friends!  Wear comfortable clothing and athletic sneakers.

ROAD CLOSURES/DETOURS

When traveling to Stowe via Rte-89, expect delays at exit 10 (Route 100 Stowe/Waterbury).  The overpass is under construction and traffic splits about a mile before the exit (when approaching from the South), so everyone will want to stay in the right-hand lane.  Alternatively, folks could take exit 8 (Montpelier) and travel the scenic Rte-12 to rte-100 to reach Stowe.  This route takes about 10 minutes longer than staying on rte-89 until exit 10, but with construction it could be faster. 

 

Additionally, the bridge on Route 108 (The Mountain Road) in downtown Stowe is under construction and has been completely demolished.  There is a short detour around town that everyone will have to take in order to get to Stowe Mountain Lodge (if coming from the South).   No matter which approach one takes to Stowe (from exit 8 or 10), Route 100 will bring the driver to the detour.  It is very well marked with signs for Route 108.

assorted-feast.jpg Below you will find the menu for the 2015 NERSC Conference.  We made every attempt to design a menu that would accommodate the majority of the attendees within our budget.  We know that there may be a few attendees whose special meal needs are not accommodated with this menu and we ask that you plan accordingly.  There are kitchenettes and/or mini-fridges in the majority of the overnight rooms at Stowe Mountain Lodge to help assist you with supplementing any of the meals that do not meet your needs.

Meals for Non-Attendees

Guests of attendees will need to find alternate dining or use room service for breakfasts & lunches during the conference. You can purchase food, beverages, etc. at The Pantry & The Beanery, both are located outside of the back lobby door.
